Gareth Glyn's new opera, Wythnos yng Nghymru Fydd (A Week in a Future Wales), has been nominated in four categories for the Wales Theatre Awards 2018: Best Sound (=music); Best Production in the Welsh Language; Best Male in an Opera Production (Robyn Lyn Evans); and Best Welsh Touring Production.


Gareth Glyn's new opera, Wythnos yng Nghymru Fydd (A week in a Future Wales) received its first ever performances on 10 and 11 November in the Pontio centre, Bangor before going on tour through Wales. More details here.

Gareth’s work for symphony orchestra and actors, ‘The Mission of SPM-1’ was performed in the International Eisteddfod at Llangollen by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, before an audience of at least three thousand children from many parts of Wales and beyond. – more

A capacity crowd of thousands filled Trafalgar Square in London for an open-air concert given by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, including a performance of Gareth’s special arrangement of Berlioz’s ‘Symphonie Fantastique’ which incorporates young players into the ensemble. – more
